Apple Tree Residence

Chappaqua, New York
The 1920's era of American residential architecture produced an elegant blend of scale and fine detailing for domestic living. This project involved repeat clients who envisioned expanding the original home's kitchen to include a family room as well as adding wings on either side of the center hall colonial for a screened porch and a separate mudroom entry. The challenge was maintaining the original home's sense of scale and proportion.
The whole house renovation also included upgrading the home's infrastructure to energy star level capacity. Where possible original materials were salvaged and repurposed. Jeff Wilkinson, R.A. designed the Custom millwork and cabinetry for the kitchen, family room mudroom and master bathroom. Interior design in collaboration with Cami Weinsten.
